About Me:

Marc Taylor, Esq.

Areas of Practice: Immigration Law; Family Immigration Law; Business Immigration

Admitted: 1996, New York

Law School: Queens College of the City University of New York School of Law, J.D.

Memberships: NY State Bar. AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association). New York State Unified Court System.

I am a first generation immigrant to the United States. My family endured the arduous process of a family based petition to obtain what all immigrants desire, a better future for themselves and their family. I recall the years of separation and suffering that is an indelible memory that I will always carry with me. Witnessing first-hand the sacrifice and desire to obtain US residency and eventually becoming a US Citizen is the driving impetus behind my personal passion for immigration law and helping others to reach their dreams.

I graduated from Penn State University in 1993 and immediately entered CUNY Law School inspired by the late Haywood Burns, Esq., the then Dean of the CUNY Law School. Haywood Burns, was a passionate civil rights attorney that was the embodiment of the motto of the law school, “law in the service of human needs”. Although I was also accepted to University of Miami Law School, Haywood Burns was the principal reason I decided to attend CUNY and I never regretted this decision. It further solidified my belief that as a community we should always strive to serve the public in a self-less manner.

My father always said he wanted his children to be lawyers or doctors and America is where this was most likely to be achieved. I will never forget the moment on the telephone with my father, when I opened my bar passage letter. I was admitted to the New York State Bar in September of 1996.

Our staff is a diverse group with half of our employees being first generation immigrants in the US. I believe that selecting an attorney who has not only the practical but personal experience in immigration is paramount. It will ensure that each client is respected and appreciated based upon the new thread they will represent in the fabric of the US community.

Although, it seems that many people have forgotten that the US is a country founded on the blood, sweat and tears of immigrants and strengthened by our multi-cultural population, it is a reality that my staff and I encounter every day. Let us help you not only reach for your immigration dreams but ultimately achieve them.

The information you obtain at this site is not, nor is it intended to be, legal advice. You should consult an attorney for advice regarding your individual situation. We invite you to contact us and welcome your calls, letters and email. Please remember that contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship.
